Job Related Activities:

  • The Systems IPTL will generate the SEMP, perform as the development engineering CAM, lead the Risk & Opportunity process implementation for the program, and provide Gate support to the PM
  • Lead Engineering weekly meeting, track action items to closure, perform as the IMS execution/task lead
  • Responsible for leading proposals
  • Lead dialog with program leadership and the chief engineer to elicit objectives, requirements, and to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure the consistent application of engineering best practices and all activities undertaken under your control are conducted to common standards in accordance with Raytheon's IPDS processes
  • Using Raytheon 6 Sigma proactively to foster a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Responsible for all requirements management and Integration Verification and Validation activities for the system.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years engineering experience
  • Technical experience with radar systems/software engineering and test
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills including working with Microsoft Office Suite of Tools
  • Experience with and knowledge of the Systems Engineering lifecycles and demonstrable application of relevant methodologies and toolsets
  • Demonstrated ability to develop program plans and EVM baselines; including providing status on project completion
  • A proactive team-builder who can motivate and lead by example multi-disciplinary teams (SE, SW, FW, ME, EE, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability with system engineering processes, including cost, resource and schedule management
  • Experience in Proposals – bidding, BOEs and ETC files, Program planning, by phase
  • Experience using DOORS – Requirements derivation, Allocation, Linking, overall management, DOORS 9.6x
  • Work with Raytheon SMEs to define performance requirements
  • Customer interaction, presentations
  • Ability to discern key topics during a discussion and help attendees prioritize key care-abouts
  • Supplier Management including leading and developing of Supplier Control Documents (SCDs) and Statements of Work
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Agile development processes
  • Skilled at anticipating problems and planning to mitigate them
  • System Architecture design
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Required Education:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, and minimum 10 years of related experience.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
