Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is seeking a talented and dynamic leader to join our Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team, which is part of the Mission Assurance organization. This diverse and multidisciplinary position will provide technical and strategic support to virtually all programs at RVS, from high end low-volume space products to high-volume commercial products and it will hold a high visibility within the organization.

In this role she/he will lead the technical relationship with a suite of key suppliers, utilizing both engineering and leadership skills. This person will need to actively collaborate with all functions at RVS leading supplier source selection, assessment of risks and associated supplier improvement plans, using data to make measureable improvements for the organization. This position results in large visibility and engagement across the organization.
The ideal candidate should be characterized by a strong technical background combined with engineering and/or manufacturing experience, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Specific background in electrical and/or mechanical technologies. This person must be capable to work independently, as well as leading in a team environment, and be able to travel domestically.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 years relevant experience which may engineering, manufacturing and quality
  • Proficient with some/any Six-Sigma tools (PFMEA, PARETO chart, 5-WHYs, GAUGE R&R, etc.)
  • Proficient with Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain DoD Security clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Working knowledge of the technologies associated with producing and inspection / acceptance of printed wiring boards, flex circuits and circuit card assemblies
  • Familiarity with quality systems and industry standards associated with printed wiring boards and flex circuits (AS9100, ISO, IPC Standards, etc.)
  • Proficient in reading and understanding mechanical drawings and basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 or electronics manufacturing and inspection
  • Experience in executing PFMEA
  • Demonstrated experience with Statistical Process Controls (SPC)
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Quality or Mathematics
