Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Technologist I to join our Network Control Center's (NCC) System Support Group (SSG) to support the United States Air Force North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract (NISSC). NISSC provides accurate, timely, unambiguous warning and attack assessments and has daily visibility with National Command Authority leaders including the President of the United States. NCMC-ITW/AA is composed of air, missile, and space warning missions located at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS), Peterson AFB, Offutt AFB, Vandenberg AFB, and other forward user and sensor sites worldwide.


  • Plan, implement, and maintain a variety of communication servers, supporting hardware, and related systems
  • Providing specifications and other detailed information for architectures, hardware, software, and system components
  • Providing implementation techniques and tools for efficient solutions to meet business needs including present and future capacity requirements
  • Optimize server resources for performance
  • Evaluate new tools and communication technologies to enhance CMAFS networks and security
  • Evaluate server performance and reporting status to Government and contractor leadership
  • Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of servers, system interconnects, interfaces, back-ups, and associated hardware
  • Perform STIG checks and assisting Senior Administrators in documenting POA&Ms and remediating findings; executing downward directed Cyber orders (e.g. NOTAMs, IAVMs, Task Orders, TCNOs and MTOs)
  • Create and manage desktop pools, VMware ThinApps and application pools.

Required Skills:
  • General understanding of DoD and COTS security related tools
  • Ability to prepare and track system vulnerability documents
  • Troubleshooting skills covering all aspects of the OSI model
  • Interface effectively and efficiently with other teams, departments, and agencies
  • General understanding of Symantec data back-up procedures, retention, and restoral processe
  • Ability to create and modify existing policies
  • General knowledge of VMware ESXi virtual environments
  • Ability to patch/upgrade ESXi hosts and manage all aspects of virtual servers and environments including but not limited to provisioning of new servers, editing virtual server settings, creating templates, and managing of provisioned storage
  • Understand Active Directory and be able to perform object creation and modifications
  • Be able to create and modify group policies.
  • Create Security Groups and provide permissions as requested.
Current DoD 8570 IAT level II certification is required for this position (e.g. Security + CE or other DoD
recognized higher lever certification). Candidates must be prepared to provide proof of current DoD 8570
IAT Level II certification at the time of application.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating systems as well as various Microsoft services and applications to include; SCCM, SQL DHCP, DNS, Print, and Windows Deployment Server (WDS).
  • General knowledge of VMware virtual desktop environment (VMware View Connection server, vCenter server, Microsoft Sequel Server, Nutanix storage, and Teradici management console [TMC]) and associated dependencies.
  • Understanding of network topologies and protocols.
  • Remedy trouble ticket experience and skills.

The Technologist hired into this position must be prepared to report to work and remain on site for extended periods of time during real-world emergencies and at times during exercises and simulations. During such periods this employee will likely be unable to maintain contact with anyone outside the site, including family and friends.

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study plus at least 4 years of related professional experience. Alternatively we will consider years of technical experience in lieu of a degree.

This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
