SAIC is currently looking for technical, analytic, and subject matter expertise who are interested in supporting the Headquarters, United States Air Force (HAF) in providing analytic support to Air Force leadership to execute an integrated, enterprise approach to designing the future Air Force. The SAIC Team will support the Air Force with innovative solutions that help inform and guide decision-making on the design and integration of Air Force capabilities.


SAIC will provide support to the Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability (AFWIC), AF/A5A with strategy development; operational concept development; operational challenge studies; operational/regional politico-military analysis; capability assessments; war and mobility planning support; requirements development; and integration of these efforts across the Air Force enterprise and joint communities.


SAIC is seeking a Simulation Lead to support the Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability (AFWIC) mission. 

Job Description:
  • Develop and lead studies built around simulation framework: Synchronized Transparent Optimized Rotational Method (STORM) and/or Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).  
  • Works with other Air Force and joint organizations to access and modify theater campaign scenarios.
  • Works with intelligence community to ensure adversary capabilities are adequately modeled.
  • Tasks team members to perform study-related tasks (run simulations, build data sets, analyze results, prepare plans and reports, etc).
  • Interacts across AFWIC to ensure appropriate level support to other divisions.


Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in developing simulation models using modeling and simulation software.
  • Knowledge of Air Force warfighting capabilities, strategies, and organizations.
  • Knowledge of operations research techniques, including probability and statistical methods.
  • Experience working with Air Force M&S applications and models, including AFSIM and/or STORM

Master's degree in degree in computer science, engineering or math, and 10 years of experience.
