Systems Engineer Architect

Overall Assignment Description:
Systems Architects guide the design and development of solutions for complex applications, systems problems, API design, data services, platform services, cloud services and infrastructure services to meet user requirements and align to strategic goals of the stated enterprise architecture in collaboration with the SAIC and customer team.
Guide the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of Information Technology solution architectures ensuring traceability to the enterprise architecture and enterprise requirements.
Review legacy and proposed computer system capabilities, workflow, and limitations, both technical and scheduling.
Guide the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to design and automate a new system replacing the multiple legacy systems
Guide team members in the development of proposed system design based on analysis of requirements and technologies for Portals, Visualization, Data Integration, Cloud.
Assists Government in planning, designing, defining, developing, documenting and baselining the Systems Architecture, inclusive of business, data, network, security and solutions- level sub-architectures, to ensure enterprise systems work together in an integrated fashion to deliver mission capabilities and solutions.
Key activities of Systems Architecture and Engineering may include the following: systems analysis necessary to define and document the As- Is Architecture; planning, design, and systems engineering work necessary to build and portray the To-Be Architecture; the development of conceptual, logical and physical architecture and technical roadmaps defining the time-phased schedule for the path of systems and services from the As-Is to the To-Be Architecture; and program, segment and project-based solution-level architectures consistent with the enterprise-level architecture.
Collaborate with documentation team for thorough technical and process documents to support all development, maintenance, operations, and training activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
Typically 10+ years of experience
Senior level working experience in government or industry, such as Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Data Architecture.
Experience in the Commercial Aviation Space with an Emphasis in Systems Employed by Air Traffic Controllers, Terminal Radar Approach Control Facilities (TRACON), En Route Faculties, and related.
Experience in Commercial Aviation information technology and systems related to the flight management of aircraft including flight procedures & processes, weather, equipment, security, and FAA structure and processes.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
Experience with AWS building large scale, multi-tiered, user centric web applications.
Experience with multi-tiered application environments with SQL, Web services, Web API, HTML5, and XML development.
Agile or DevOps certification.
Certified Enterprise Architect or other similar certification.
