Documentation Specialist - Military veterans preferred

SAIC is seeking a Documentation Specialist who is a polished communicator, experienced with creating messages for senior leadership at MARFORCYBER and other DoD/government agencies. The specialist will research, create, and assist in the development and delivery of professional briefings, multimedia presentations, command briefs, and written products.  In addition, this individual will have experience as a graphics artist.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing internal and external team communications.

  • Establishing the most effective channels and tools for communications.

  • Development of communication plans and protocols.

  • Developing standard branding, templates and formatting used for communications.

  • Creating and delivering written and oral presentations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience and at least 1(10) years of experience providing communications support (writing and graphic presentations); Additional years of experience could be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 2 years or more experience working in a Commanders Action Group or Combatant Command (PACOM, CENTCOM, etc) or a similar environment such as Congressional staff (preferably the HASC or SASC)
  • 10 years or more experience producing tailored content for multiple platforms, including SharePoint


Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and balance competing priorities.
  • Competency in desktop publishing tools to include Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, PPT, PREZI-like, or other similar tools to develop high quality illustrations, drawings, and animations.
  • Comfortable working closely with senior leaders in a high complex mission space with a high operational tempo.
  • Able to multi-task and balance competing priorities. 
  • Knowledge of digital communications strategy concepts.

  • Experience with technical collection or development efforts.
