Job Description:

Candidate will manage the financial planning and analysis department for the Cybersecurity and Special Missions (CSM) Business Unit based in Sterling, VA. Monthly/quarterly responsibilities include oversight of consolidation and analysis for developing monthly forecasts and reporting all financial metrics for the business. Specific analysis include variance analysis, labor utilization, backlog vs. sales from new bookings, contract mix. Track attributes, backlog, and competitive win data. Perform forecast reporting and craft Mission Area financial messaging. Candidate will prepare Management for monthly operating reviews, financial overviews and other reporting activities as required. Support the development of the five-year strategic and annual operating plans and related analysis. Supports the monthly closing process, provide variance analysis and work within the business and with IIS headquarters. They will be responsible for overseeing the weekly reporting of Risk and Opportunities, variances, and the CFO’s weekly report on the rolling forecast. The successful candidate has demonstrated experience with forward looking controls. Individual will serve as a partner in the planning and forecasting process with the CSM Leadership Team. The selected candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the reporting of indirect expenses and coordination of rate updates for the Cyber Services pool. The selected candidate will also be responsible for developing models to assess financial performance, identifying and tracking metrics such as sales trends and margin analyses as it relates to joint ventures, international pursuits, other ad hoc requirements and special projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage a team of 2-3 financial planning analysts.

Required Skills:

  • Requires a related university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in all aspects of Financial Management including program controls, program scheduling, cash/asset management and cash/asset control
  • Demonstrated experience managing work assignments and performance of a staff of employees
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Rplan
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Results and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking
  • Sound analytical, problem identification, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Familiar with government contracting

  • Expert in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in the use of other Microsoft Office Products (Word, Project)
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments as expected

Degree:
