Raytheon’s Microelectronics Engineering & Technology (MET) Department develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, millimeter/microwave integrated circuits, and modules for defense and commercial applications. We have an excellent opportunity for a Layout Support Engineer I / II.
As a Layout Support Engineer within the Raytheon’s RF Components Foundry Services Group you will work closely with the Design Engineering Team to digitize and perform physical verification on RF Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) using the Cadence Virtuoso Tool Suite. You will also be responsible for prepping designs for photomask order and delivery into Raytheon’s III-V Semiconductor Fab. This is a detail oriented position that requires strong communication skills and the ability to interact within a team environment.
Provide Layout Support to MMIC Design Team
Verification using Design Rule Checking (DRC) and Layout Versus Schematic (LVS)
Reticle building and photomask ordering
Data Check/Peer Reviewing
Experience with integrated circuit layout and physical verification
Experience with CAD software tools
Proven ability to work within a team environment and follow documented instructions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Tool Suite
Familiarity with III-V Semiconductor Processing and Concepts
Experience with integrated circuit layout and physical verification using Cadence Virtuoso software tools
Familiarity with III-V Semiconductor Processing
ASEET or Technical School degree
