Job Description:

SAIC is building a team to migrate, implement and launch Microsoft SharePoint for the National Institute of Health. The Software Engineer/Developer will design, enhance, implement and maintain SharePoint sites and applications ensuring access, reliability, availability and usability to current and new users.  Also, they will develop new SharePoint sites/sub-sites, applications and enhancements as well as integrate SharePoint with processes, workflows, e-mail alerts, data visualization, relational database management and/or data hub to connect multiple data sources for business intelligence.

 

 The Sr SW Developer also:

  • Works with PM to create and implement a plan to support NIH SharePoint activities.

  • Orchestrates performance testing and strategies.

  • Has knowledge of SharePoint lists, workflows, groups, permissions and security, reporting capabilities, custom web parts and web services.

  • Writes technical documentation and training guides.

  • Has experience with complete application development life-cycle including requirements gathering, analysis and design, coding, testing and deployment.

  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be a quick learner, resourceful, and able to work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Has excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.

  • Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications

This position requires remote/telework. On occasion, candidate will need to travel in to the client sites for meetings

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

  • 3+ years in MS SharePoint development

  • 5+ years of Software Development experience using .NET

  • Experience using SharePoint Designer to create custom forms, workflows, web parts, and solutions.

  • Experience with XML, JavaScript, ReactJS, jQuery, and/or AJAX.

  • Experience modifying HTML and CSS.
