Job Summary
The Property Manager Senior is responsible for the effective and efficient management and accountability of property personnel and government-furnished/company-acquired assets in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates and senior leadership on government regulations pertaining to property accountability and inventory control management
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures for  management and accurate tracking of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP)
  • Oversee and maintain total asset control and visibility for all program equipment, prepare and be accountable for accuracy of property reports, and provide input to leadership and the customer
  • Visit sites to provide assistance, conduct property audits, and ensure program is managed properly and effectively in accordance with standards and regulations
  • Analyze performance metrics and quality control reports to ascertain trends, identify and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate resolution of discrepancies through property management and representatives of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and/or Department of Defense (DOD)
  • Oversee and provide guidance for Lost, Theft, Damaged, and Destroyed (LTDD) reports and disposition of unserviceable equipment items
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of automated property accounting systems (such as DynMRO), property policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) criteria
  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Additional knowledge/skill requirements may vary by assignment

Experience & Education

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in government or civilian property management with at least five (5) years in a managerial role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or associated discipline
  • Prefer certification such as Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM), Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA), Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS), or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through the National Property Management Association (NPMA) or Advancing Productivity, Innovations, and Competitive Success (APICS) organization which was formerly titled the American Production and Inventory Control Society
  • Additional experience/education requirements may vary by assignment

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • CONUS:
    • Generally works in normal office environment, but may be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, to austere environments, under harsh living conditions
    • Some positions will be assigned to overseas locations where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions
