Job Description:
Raytheon IIS is currently seeking a Senior Production and Planning Control Specialist. This individual will perform a variety of technical tasks in support of procurement and production programs. The qualified candidate will perform material procurement, support low level assembly production, as well as associated tasks outlined below.

  • Review production schedules and changes associated with assigned assemblies
  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are received in line with production and customer requirements
  • Evaluate and provide status on assemblies in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
  • Solve potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
  • Control and analyze multiple, highly complex Bill of Materials (BOM) in an MRP system
  • Confirm material supply demand, and prepare necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Logistics
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping order
  • Responsible for material tracking from purchase order release to material receipt
  • Authorize work via assembly work orders, and ensure these are followed through to completion
  • Prepare purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts

The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance is required for this position

Note: Candidates with a current US Government Secret security clearance are eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon

Required Skills:
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance
  • Applied knowledge of the concepts and principles of Production and Planning Control fundamentals, including material requirements planning, inventory management, and master production scheduling
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking and analysis skills to ensure detailed status is provided to the Program Management
  • Familiarity with eProcurement tools, including SAP/PRISM
  • Ability to coordinate with various disciplines to accomplish taskings

Required Education:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or similar field and 4 years of related work experience or 12 years of related work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
