Manage commercial and DoD manufacturing operations including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Automated & Semi-automated circuit card assembly, and Mechanical Assembly & Sub assembly departments. Responsible for supervising production operations on a day-to-day basis to for optimum quality, efficiency, and on time delivery performance. Prioritize and delegate work assignments to group leaders and employees to best meet customer requirements. Assign personnel, material, and equipment resources to meet production schedules; monitor performance to adjust resources as necessary. Coordinate with departments such as Manufacturing & Quality Engineering, Test, Materials, and Program Management to meet customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Familiar with manufacturing/production operations and concepts i.e. shop floor management, program management, production control, quality control, manufacturing and test methods, work center scheduling, developing manpower forecast, and understanding of manpower production rates.
Ability to plan, organize and successfully manage tasks, assignments and projects.
Ability to hold his/her team accountable for performance.
Ability to provide quality well written recurring process reports to senior management.
Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Clearance prior to starting this position.
Desired Skills:
Cost Account Management (CAM) experience. Strong analytical skills assess cost and schedule metrics; ability to generate plans to attain cost and schedule requirements.
Experience with commercial contract and department of defense customers.
Strong analytical skills – expert individually & integrating MS Excel, MS Project, MS Access, and MS Project.
Understanding of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) including adhesive dispensing, Automate Optical Inspection (AOI), and X-ray operations.
Understanding of Lean concepts, 6S, Single Piece Flow manufacturing.
Understanding of manufacturing flow simulation software for planning and capacity analysis.
Ability to interface with Operations Management in monthly reviews and periodic reviews on major programs.
