Description:Responsible for the execution of the sourcing process, including identifying opportunities for improving cost while maintaining quality and delivery
Prepare, analyze, and make sourcing selections using the RFQ process and defining contract terms consistent with commodity strategy
Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs including mitigating economic increases, renegotiating development to production pricing, mitigating cost impacts due to design changes, NRE, tooling, expedite, cancellations
Optimizes inventory for purchased parts and raw material with a dynamic forecast
Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine capabilities and expand relationships based on capabilities
Support and lead the evaluation of commercial agreements to arrive at lowest landed cost by developing long term agreements and developing sources
Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations
Champion lean processes to eliminate waste in the value chain with tools such as Kaizen, Lean, Continuous Improvement and Total Cost Management

Basic Qualifications:
2-5 years of buying experience preferably in the customized aftermarket segment of the aerospace industry.

Experience analyzing and making sourcing selections using the RFQ process and defining contract terms consistent with commodity strategy
