Description:This position is for the Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) engineering IPT F-35 Australia, Canada, United Kingdom Reprogramming Lab (ACURL) project deputy. The reprogramming capability at ACURL will support the development and verification of mission data throughout the life of the customer’s F-35 aircraft. This capability is of critical importance to ongoing operations of the fleet.
The selected candidate will receive day-to-day direction from the ACURL project lead and will assist in leading the ACURL project team consisting of systems engineers, architects, hardware engineers and integration engineers through the product development and sustainment activities. This includes representing the laboratory organization through product development, acceptance testing, preparations for delivery and installation and demonstration at Eglin Air Force Base, plus post-delivery sustainment support. The selected candidate will assist with budget, schedule and technical oversight. In this role, the candidate will employ sound project management skills to ensure tasks remain on-track and to provide sufficient visibility to all stakeholders. In addition to execution on current programs, the project deputy will assist with bid and proposal activities in support of future programs. Developing effective relationships with the team, suppliers, program managers, JPO customer, and end-users will be imperative to the success of the program.
Travel to supplier and lab integration sites will be required.
Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and an active secret clearance with investigation within the prior 6 years to start.
Project or technical leadership experience
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Experience making presentations to senior-level company management and customers.
Lab development experience in the systems, software or hardware areas
Mission systems experience
Mission data experience
RMF/JSIG knowledge and experience
