Job Description
Cushman & Wakefield’s PREP jump-starts your career by providing you with a solid foundation of industry knowledge and real-world experience. During the 12-month rotational program, you will gain a comprehensive knowledge of commercial real estate by taking on exciting projects and rotating through the following lines of business:
1 - Research & MarComm Business Development
2 - Office Brokerage
3 - Retail Leasing
4 - Valuation & Advisory
5 - Capital Markets:
Equity, Debt, & Structured Finance
Corporate Finance & Investment Banking
Investment Sales & Acquisition
6 - Global Occupier Services:
Transaction Management
Integrated Facility Management
Project & Development Services
Lease Administration
The small size of each PREP class offers you the opportunity to personalize your rotations and receive one-on-one guidance from senior leaders within the firm. You will also get to know key professionals in the industry through our formal mentorship and peer support programs. Associates in PREP will also gain in-depth industry knowledge through a full learning curriculum, including workshops and speaker series. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be invited to join the business line at Cushman & Wakefield that suits your interests and matches our needs.
Cushman & Wakefield’s PREP is looking for applicants who demonstrate excellent leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. In addition, we are looking for applicants who are highly motivated and possess integrity as well as an entrepreneurial spirit. Rotations require knowledge of financial terms and principles, an ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commission, and an ability to conduct basic financial analysis. Associates are tasked with assisting sales professionals in identifying potential clients and researching connections to cultivate new business opportunities through cold calling and networking. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and have completed (at least) one professional CRE industry related internship. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. (we do not sponsor visas for the position).
Exceptional candidates will be invited for final round interviews at the office selected by preference in the application. These interviews will be conducted throughout the month of February 2019.
Candidates who are accepted into PREP will be based in the Downtown LA office. Upon completing the program successfully, full-time placements will be available within the designated program office or nationally where needs are available.
