This position will specifically be responsible for providing data entry and on-line help desk support for the Integrated Support Center (ISC) located at SPAWAR Systems Center, Atlantic, Charleston, SC.
Maintains and updates database user information and processes data input requests.
Communicates with remote terminal users and provides assistance to all system users of data processing and word processing.
Research, identification, and updating of Points of Contacts for electronic equipment and component vendors and entering information into the database.
Duties include providing help desk operation services to SPAWAR fleet customers, analysis for proper routing, and follow-up of technical issues for SSCC resolutions.
This position requires knowledge of Naval Fleet and other military systems terminology. Applicants must be able to understand and clearly document system problems as described by the caller.
Qualified applicants should possess excellent phone skills, the ability to maintain a calm demeanor while making decisions in stressful situations, work well independently from detailed instructions.
Applicants must be PC literate with the ability to execute data entry and retrieval screens.
A complete understanding of Navy message handling procedures is required.
Military background and Remedy knowledge preferred.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Candidate must be willing to work a Rotating Shift Schedule and weekends.
