The Raytheon IDS Engineering Quality organization assures that compliant products are delivered to the customer with NoDoubtTM performance and will work reliably throughout the product life cycle. Our goal is to establish, maintain and oversee compliance to Quality and Mission Assurance policies and practices which are aligned across Raytheon.
We have an immediate need for a Hardware Quality Engineer within IDS located in McKinney, Texas.
The MFRFS Quality Engineer is a Hardware Quality Engineer discipline position responsible for Hardware Quality reviews in association with the build process and delivery of the Counter Unmanned Air System (C-UAS) Radar for Advanced Fire Control Tracking (CRAFT). The ideal candidate will be motivated and highly capable of collaborating and interacting with various MFRFS Product Line disciplines and other Raytheon businesses.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be the Mission Assurance interface and will drive overall quality performance including continuous improvement and implementation of lean methodologies. You will help to ensure programs meet customer objectives for Mission Assurance, working closely with other functions, to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communication skills. You will work in a results based culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
You will be required to problem-solve working with a team. Your work will involve planning, coordination, facilitation, analysis, coordination and influencing to achieve continuous improvement and successful program execution, focusing on Quality. You will provide Quality Sciences Subject Matter Expertise for work product and process compliance to meet tactical and strategic objectives. You will work at all levels of the organization to drive root cause and corrective action utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.
•Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
•Minimum of 6+ years of Quality experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment
•Manufacturing and assembly process knowledge (including but not limited to facility, assembly instructions, in process and final inspection, test equipment, test software)
•Ability to lead effective Root Cause Corrective Action efforts. Must have strong analytical skills in root cause analysis, containment and corrective/preventive action determination.
•Effective verbal, written, networking and presentation skills to work with all levels of the company
•Strong ability to exercise sound judgment and apply decision–making skills in a fast-paced environment
•Must be able to manage a diverse work schedule that requires travel and indoor and outdoor work environment
•Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
•Six Sigma, ASQ Certifications, Level 5 Mission Assurance Certification (Internal candidates)
•Supplier Quality Management experience including supplier approval, corrective action, requirements flow down, first article, nonconforming material and problem resolution.
•Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) process that drives timely disposition of hardware, records and corrective actions
•Possible Travel up to 30%
•Product life cycle experience from design through sustainment
•Knowledge of assembly/manufacturing tools: PRISM, SAP and VM
•Knowledge in configuration management tools: Common PDM
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline.
