The Close in Defense Systems (CIDS) Portfolio is seeking to hire an Integration and Execution Director (IE) at Raytheon Missile Systems located in Louisville, Kentucky, reporting directly to the CIDS Senior Program Director, who is located in Tucson, Arizona. The CIDS portfolio consists of three main products: Land Based Phalanx Weapon System (LPWS), SeaRAM, and Phalanx. The position has responsibility for execution and support of the CIDS portfolio.

The IE Director will serve as a key driver in setting the direction and energy for program execution in order to meet customer needs. The IE Director should have demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams in a matrix environment. They should have demonstrated capability and prior successful experience working in functional support groups and Program Management. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated the ability to remove barriers to develop creative strategic solutions and resolve programmatic concerns regarding on-time deliveries spanning across the entire range of the product life cycle.

In this position, the IE Director will have to influence internal support for purposes of growth to the business. This will enhance the development of the strategies, manufacturing plans/roadmaps, advancement of next generation technology, and promoting future growth. Both locations (KY and AZ) are complex in that they work with the Navy, Army, and various international customers. This role is challenging yet rewarding in discovering new production enhancements, while being able to rise above the ever changing cultural challenges. This role requires flexibility and agility in their management style to address all the individual member country complexities.

The CIDS portfolio is geographically located across two sites, Tucson, Arizona and Louisville, Kentucky. This position will be located in Louisville, but will require frequent domestic travel.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree; preferably in of in Business, Finance, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics

Desired Skills:
  • Raytheon Program Management Certification Level 3, 2 or 1
  • Earned Value Management Certification
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering discipline, processes, and development execution
  • Strong proficiency in developing and presenting Strategic Plans, AOP, Technology Roadmaps, and planning to senior management, and responsibility for executing approved plans
  • Demonstrated capability to manage, track and report metrics and progress through Estimate at Completion reviews, Finance reviews or equivalent process review
  • Demonstrated capability to focus, evaluate, and motivate teams, enabling them to achieve desired results
  • Working knowledge of US and international requirements and acquisition processes

The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
