The Senior Software Test Engineer will contribute to the design, development, test, and integration of embedded Built-In-Test (BIT) software and automated production test software for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Integrated Core Processor (ICP) family of airborne processor products. The embedded software development will include low level interface and control of processor board hardware and operational tests.

The Senior Software Test engineer will:

  • Work independently under general direction of the Software Project Lead (SPL) to achieve operational goals with significant impact to the product roadmap.
  • Tasking will include test software requirements analysis, design, code development/modifications, test execution, problem isolation/remedy, and formal validation tests.
  • Develop software using standard Raytheon development processes.

**U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active Secret (minimum) U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. To facilitate potential additional clearances that may be required by the program, the candidate’s last clearance investigation should be less than 5 years old.

**Required Skills:
  • 6+ years of professional real-time embedded software development experience
  • 6+ years C/C++ programming experience
  • Demonstrated experience with direct control of hardware devices and registers
  • Demonstrated low-level, board start-up and Built-In-Test (BIT) software development
  • Demonstrated experience working with PowerPC and/or Intel processor architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex software development or integration issues using innovative solutions
  • Experience with product development utilizing standard software development processes
  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated system level thinking and pro-active engagement with engineering leadership/other disciplines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • US Citizenship
  • Active Secret security clearance with investigation within last 5 years
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Science or Engineering.

**Desired Skills:
  • 2+ years C# programming experience
  • Development and Debugging Experience with National Instruments TestStand and CVI
  • Database interface/development experience
  • Team/Project leadership experience including task coordination, scheduling, status reporting
  • Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development experience
