SAIC is seeking an Information Specialist/Knowledge Engineer to support the USMC Network Operations and Security Center in Quantico, Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for knowledge management activities in support of DCOS operations and will develop/refine DCOS standard operating procedures and design/improve information sharing throughout DCOS. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for continuity of services as data sources evolve to changes in the Government’s technical computing environment as well as by mandates from parent organizations. 

Job Specific Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain the body of documentation that describes the tactics, techniques and procedures that comprise the DCOS Knowledge Management team. 
  • Create, edit, and manage a DCOS collaborative SharePoint site to coordinate operations, documentation, and training. 
  • Coordinate schedule and logistics for all DCOS training, exercise, and travel in support of operational requirements. 
  • Work with the Training Specialist to coordinate and manage internal training calendars via NIPRNETEKO; post and advertise available classes. 
  • Track the DCOS personnel training; collect internal updates and publish weekly for internal awareness. 
  • Administer all aspects of the DCOS web presence, to include development and refinement of the current SharePoint instances and any future requirements. 
  • Collect internal updates and publish weekly for internal information awareness. 
  • Maintain the DCOS personnel recall roster and POC databases. 
  • Format correspondence, briefs, and operational products per the standards set forth in the Secretary of the Navy Manual (SECNAV- M) 5216.5, “Department of the Navy Correspondence Manual,” dated March 2010 or other organizational standard. 
  • Develop and manage the methods to capture, share, and better utilize DCOS organizational knowledge.  



  • TS/SCI. Polygraph is not required.
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution
  • At least ten (10) years of experience as an Information Specialist/Knowledge Management Analyst.
  • Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint applications/pages. 
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively, 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
