SAIC has several contingent career opportunities for Systems Engineers to support an Army customer in Fort Huachuca, AZ. These positions are contingent upon contract award.
The Systems Engineers will perform design and implementation of IT systems that require the integration of diverse and complex components. Activities include creating a problem statement, defining operational requirements including integration with other systems or components, researching and modeling the system architecture and configuration, investigation alternatives, cost analysis and estimation, and decision analysis. Ensures the logical ad systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specification. Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements, facility requirements (including floor layout, power & cooling, network connectivity), data storage, backup, monitoring, operations systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.
Provide ArcSight administrator support to maintain connectivity between the approximately 400 security devices that provide security event information to ArcSight. Operates, monitors, sustains, and secures ArcSight Servers using the full capabilities of the ArcSight application. Operates, monitors, sustains, and secures the ArcSight SAN which stores security events.
Education/Experience: Bachelors and five (5) years or more of related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more related experience; PhD and 0 years experience.
Certifications: IAT LEVEL II (CCNA SEC, CSA+, GIC SP, GSEC, SEC+, SSCP)
Additionally, the DoD 8570.01-M also requires a Computing Environment Certification:“8570 Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirement: The official requirement can be found on page 23 of the current approved DoD 8570.01-M. DoD 8570.01-M, December 19, 2005 "C22.214.171.124.3. In addition to the IA baseline certification requirement for their level, IATs with privileged access must obtain appropriate Computing Environment (CE) certifications for the operating system(s) and/or security related tools/devices they support as required by their employing organization. If supporting multiple tools and devices, an IAT should obtain CE certifications for all the tools and devices they are supporting. At a minimum, the IAT should obtain a certification for the tool or device he or she spends the most time supporting. For example, if an IAT is spending most of his or her time supporting security functions on a CISCO router, the IAT should obtain a CE certification for that equipment."”
