Description: This position is for a Senior RF Systems Engineer reporting to the Engineering Department in Albuquerque on Directed Energy or Mobile Range programs. The Senior RF Systems Engineer will use his/her strong academic background and experience in antenna and radar system theory and design, including architectures and RF components and subsystems to design and test components and antennas. This engineer will also provide technical support for proposal activities. Required Skills:
Experience developed system models for complex RF systems to assess the performance of cascaded noise temperature, phase noise, group delay, and non-linear affects.
A broad range of knowledge with experience in RF tracking, communication and Antenna design
Experience with telemetry systems, flight systems, signal processing, power management and conditioning, thermal and electrical loading, and test and diagnostics.
Experience with system modeling, analysis, tuning, and design aspects relative to precision optical and RF tracking systems
Experience using lab and field test equipment such as: Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators
Experience with schematic capture, SPICE simulation, and layout of mixed signal and/or power supply Circuit Card Assemblies.
Proficient in board to system level system architecture
Proficient in schematic capture and CCA design
Experience with MATLAB and Simulink modeling tools
Fluency with FAA standards and regulations and military TRLs (Test Readiness Level)
Experience in end-to-end optical tracking system modeling to include gimbal performance, network latency constraints and operator feedback test and integration
Able to develop task level requirements derived from system level requirements
Team leadership skills including cost and schedule management experience
Required Education and Experience:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; M.S. preferred
A minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense SECRET clearance; existing clearance preferred
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
