Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX supporting the Functional Quality department. The position will require working flexible hours. Duties include:

Provide guidance, direction and assistance for day-to-day operations of Supplier Quality personnel.

Perform supplier help function for programs, Supplier Quality Field Engineers (SQFEs) and suppliers.

Support process development/improvement activities, Command Media, PO Text Notes/Quality Clause creation, review and revision

Support SAP Convergence and Query activities

Provide support of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards

Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities

Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering Degree

Must have ability to obtain a security clearance

A strong understanding of the SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Strong understanding of engineering requirements

Must be able to identify and document quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action

Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems

A basic understanding of special processes and an overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers on a daily basis

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions

Knowledge and understanding of auditing/surveying capabilities

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities

Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports

Strong problem-solving skills

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives
Desired Skills:
Understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems

Experience using Tableau software for business intelligence and data analytics

ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)

Experience with working with suppliers in a dynamic environment

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers

Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Demonstrated leadership, customer relationship management skills
