Facilities Supervisor/Alternate Site Manager

The Facilities Services Supervisor is responsible for high voltage airfield lighting systems and diesel-powered electrical generators; is a working supervisor alongside other high voltage electricians and power generation personnel. Also schedules and directs the work of HVAC technicians and facilities/equipment maintainers.
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Review, monitor, and evaluate maintenance and supply policies, regulations, procedures, directives, and manuals as they relate to services/programs provided by Director of Logistic (DOL).
Supervises a workforce composed of high voltage electricians, generator operators/maintainers, HVAC mechanics, facility maintenance tradesmen, and heavy equipment operators
Prepares and implements the operations, maintenance & repair (OM&R) plan
Serves as the alternate site manager, providing direction to DI employees; is the direct on-site point of contact with the US Government customer
Provide guidance and oversight in: Customer Property, Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP), property disposal, maintenance management, Test Measuring Diagnostic Equipment Program (TMDE), Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP), Warranty Program and interrelated areas of local procurement.
Ensure all elements and standards of the Quality Management System (QMS) are adhered to.
Review and monitor timekeeping records.
Review, enforce and recommend changes to all shop safety programs, to include but not limited to, fire prevention, hearing conservation, personal protective equipment, HAZCOM, HAZMAT and drivers training.
Assists Operations Deputy Manager (Maintenance) in providing oversight and initiating and conducting training and supervising within respective area of responsibility to meet the contract objectives.
Review Safety of Use Message to ensure information is disseminated and corrective actions are taken and documented.
Manages daily activities of the employees to ensure effective efficiencies in compliance with corporate, contractual and legal requirements.
Determines standardized procedures and work schedules to improve efficiency of subordinates.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Certified high voltage electrician; expertise with OSHA, NEC and NFPA requirements
Supervisory-level knowledge and hands-on skill in O&M of FAA airfield lighting systems
Certified generator operator/maintainer. Hands-on operations and maintenance supervisory expertise with generators ranging from 5 KW to 4,132 KW, and associated primary and secondary distribution systems and grounding systems
Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills in a customer-service environment
Must qualify for a government operator’s permit.
Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Experience & Education
10 years of experience supervising high voltage electrical and power production operations and maintenance
5 years of hands-on experience with FAA airfield lighting and associated equipment
High school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree is desired.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
The work conditions are normally those of a standard office environment where there is little physical discomfort.
When required to perform duties outside the office environment where inclement weather may subject individual to changes in temperature and weather.
May be exposed to areas where hazards noise, fumes, airborne particles, electrical shock hazards and moving mechanical parts.
