HMAS Choules, the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) Landing Ship Dock (LSD), is undergoing a long-term capability upgrade. The SEA3030 Ph2 program will remediate and modernise the platform, including upgrades to HMAS Choules self-defence, aviation and C4I systems. Multiple roles are currently available in the SEA3030 Ph2 Project Team, responsible for managing the upgrade program for the RAN.
Our Government Services, Integrated Support Solutions (ISS), Maritime Division are seeking to engage an Integration & Test Engineer to join a dedicated, professional team who strive to exceed client expectations.
As the Integration & Test Engineer you will be required to provide advice on quality management concerns and activities ensuring compliance with Commonwealth and ACSSPO policies and procedures. Identify risks and issues associated with integration and test and trials aspects of the project. Provide advice and guidance on production, installation, integration, set-to-work, V&V techniques and processes for critical system implementation, verification and accreditation.
Integration and Installation
Ensure the optimisation of task management by synchronising task durations with ship availability and correlating installation complexities, and through the identification of tasks to be conducted
Liaise with COMSURF and ACSSPO to ensure HMAS Choules availability and manage resolution of schedule conflicts
V&V and Certification
Provide V&V and certification subject matter expertise as required
Review each LSD CAP task for key technical compliance considerations and notify relevant parties of concerns
Ensure that the updates requirements set is appropriate, have adequate V&V and certification applied and address Systems Safety
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
Minimum 3 years experience as a Test Engineer
Experience in requirements engineering, integration engineering, verification and validation, test and evaluations, and platform systems engineering
Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship as an Australian Government Security Clearance is required
