Job Title : Aircraft Operating Surfaces Deputy Supervisor
Location : OSS, HKIA, Kabul, Afghanistan
Routine maintenance of the airfield operating services and roads and grounds to meet COMHKIA requirements
Timely repair of roads and ground
Up-date the HSE as required
Capable to provide training for heavy equipment operators.
Providing emergency airfield repairs if the situation demands
Responsible for effective supervision of up to 14 IRWs and 10 LCH providing 24/7 hour maintenance activities
Must be capable of deputising for the Aircraft Operating Surfaces Supervisor
Conduct meetings effectively with staff, local officials and authorities, showing initiative, tact, sound judgement and have the ability to foster and maintain harmonious working relationships
Any other tasks as detailed by the Aircraft Operating Surfaces Supervisor.
Must be capable of obtaining NATO Secret (NS) Security Clearance from their National Security Authority.
Must hold a valid and internationally recognized national driving license.
English language, both written and spoken proficiency of NATO level 3333 in accordance with A2 SOW.
Must be familiar with radio and telephone procedure in order to communicate with HKIA AOC and ATC.
Would need to be familiar with use of NATO, ICAO and ISO terminology and standards. Having worked on operations in austere remote sites or in developing nations is a requirement.The ideal candidate will be an accomplished user of Microsoft office applications e.g. Word, Excel and Power Point. Be conversant with Health & Safety, Fire Regulations and Quality Assurance.
The incumbent will ideally have a minimum of five years’ experience of R&G/AOS and AGL maintenance preferably at senior or junior non-commissioned level in a relevant specialist field in one of the NATO nations’ air forces, or within a company specialising in AOS maintenance.
At least two years supervisory experience would be beneficial.
Experience of working with asphalt and concrete.
Experience of working on operations in austere remote sites or in developing nations.
