Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Contracts has an exciting opening for a Contracts Manager in the Strategic and Naval Systems Product Line supporting the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) program. The RAM program is a unique and challenging international cooperative program with the German Government and Industry. The individual in this role will be responsible for participation in analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP), proposal reviews and coordination, contract negotiation and general contract administration including other business agreements and contracts with the U. S. Government and various Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) international customers including Germany, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Korea, and Japan. Specifically, the individual will lead RAM International DCS contracting activities, including the capture efforts for RAM Block 2 in the UAE. This is a large international capture of strategic value to the product line. Responsibilities include working closely with Program Managers, Business/Estimating, and Corporate Treasury functions to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals; providing support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues; ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies; and advising management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks. International Travel required.
8 years of experience in contract administration, including proposal preparation and contract negotiation, including experience with DCS contracts
BA/BS in Business, Finance, or related field
A proven track record of success in contracting including terms and conditions, financial instruments and import/export regulations.
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements; ability to contribute to negotiation strategy and possess strong negotiation skills
Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust
Capable of multi-tasking and handling several assignments
Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential
Juris Doctor or MBA
Computer proficiency, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared data bases
Experience negotiating complex international deals Required Education (including Major)
