Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a Logistics Team Leader II to support the Pack/Ship Department. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing outbound shipments through appropriate designated freight carriers and utilizing Raytheon’s Transportation Management System to accomplish such goals. Candidate will also be responsible for helping to direct the flow of material through the Shipping processes by providing back up supervisory support where needed, suggesting the reallocation of resources to accomplish tasks, and performing follow up validation on various tasks to ensure critical shipments will be processed in a timely manner. Candidate may also be asked to perform ancillary back up supervisor tasks, such as, approval of timecards, Overtime tracking, and administering progressive disciplinary actions. Employee will serve as primary Point of Contact for lock up area of classified materials.
You will need to interact with a variety of internal and external customers on a daily basis, while providing quick reaction support and innovative solutions. The successful candidate must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to independently prioritize tasking in a very complex and fast-moving environment. You will need to demonstrate independent judgment and discretion to balance the complex customer regulations, company requirements, and mission needs. Decisions are made based on material, environment, destination, policies, mission partners, transit schedules, database requirements, classification levels and numerous dynamic factors.
The successful candidate must establish strong relationships with a variety of customers throughout the process, have a strong foundation in customer-specific logistics practices, and be able to balance the needs of the mission with a variety of other requirements to achieve success. Logistics personnel will be cross-trained in all areas of Pack/Ship operation and will be expected to be able to cover each other’s area of responsibility as well as support customer surge requirements. The candidate must be familiar with local established business policies, procedures and public law to ensure compliance and maintain audit readiness. Candidate will be trained and certified in protocols such as but not limited to Electrostatic Discharge, Lean Concepts and Foreign Object Elimination.
