The Advanced Systems Design Center (ASDC) is seeking an individual for a Functional Integrator (FI) role. The ASDC organization is made up of approximately 200 engineers supporting programs across Missile Systems, but primarily the Front End of the Business within Advanced Missile Systems. To support these engineers and to operate ASDC effectively, there are several technical and strategic responsibilities that are filled by the Functional Integrator. The FI will largely assist the Center Manager (CM), Technical Area Managers (TAMs), and AMS Lead Systems Engineers (LSEs) in staffing and managing the engineering teams. The FI will coordinate AMS staff needs with the LSEs, the TAMs and the other SDP leadership. The FI will assist the System Design and Performance (SDP) hiring staff with hiring and identifying hiring needs of ASDC. Other tasks the FI will be responsible for include managing matrix feedback of employees, track PD compliance, coordinating center training and development opportunity nomination requests, track and coordinate center metrics, and providing data to the SDP Operations Manager for reviews.

The Functional Integrator will successfully manage the following responsibilities for ASDC:

  • Manpower Planning: Conduct regular meetings with TAMs and LSEs to determine manpower needs and how to meet these needs and develop forecasts based on these needs
  • Staffing: Coordinate staffing needs with other SDP center management and POCs
  • Hiring: Work with the SDP Hiring group to generate unique requisitions, ensure progress of candidate review, and ultimately support acquiring top talent for ASDC
  • Data collection: Collect data and coordinate for SDP Ops and Execution Reviews
  • Communication: ASDC newsletter, ASDC webpage, and periodic center wide messaging

Required Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in the following areas: Business, Communications, Education, Human Resources, Engineering, or other Technical discipline
  • Six (6)+ years of professional experience in Manpower Planning, Project Management, or Operation Management
  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
