SAIC is seeking a highly qualified Configuration and Release Manager to lead a large-scale agile software development and integration project with a Federal government agency.
Responsible for the overall deployment and release management of a complex software development and integration project.
Work with stakeholders and technical SMEs to define, schedule and approve the release plan.
Interface with the eight Scrum teams to understand, track, plan and incorporate the builds into the release plan.
Collaborate with the Technical Writer to document releases, update software user’s guides, operating manuals and other technical documentation required by the contract.
Remove any impediments that might jeopardize meeting the release schedule.
Collaborate with stakeholders to use key metrics to enable continuous improvement.
Support Scrum Ceremonies for the agile teams (Planning, Retrospective, Grooming and Review/Demo).
Implement continuous integration of an enterprise level, critical software framework.
Implement automated deployments to host environments including security and database.
Use analytical capabilities, strong writing skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Produce high-quality solutions through collaboration.
Use analytical skills to uncover root causes to issues.
Configuration and Release Manager Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or other computer engineering discipline and six (6) years of experience years of related experience.
Six (6) years of experience of experience in software development, build, deployment and release management for complex, enterprise-level software development and integration projects.
Five years of experience in configuration management of complex, enterprise-level software development and integration projects demonstrating customer relationship management, negotiation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective communication with stakeholders.
At least five years of experience in facilitating software builds and releases with various stakeholders.
At least five years of experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
At least three years of experience working within the Agile Scrum environment to manage enterprise-level web application development projects.
At least three years of experience using quality management tools such as CA Agile Central, Subversion, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
Must be local to the Washington, DC area, or willing to relocate to the Washington, DC area.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI Agile Certified Professional (ACP) and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications highly desired.
The candidate must also be able to acquire a Public Trust clearance.
