Description
SAIC is looking for a Technology Project Management Specialist to join an exciting program, supporting development of technology-based solutions that hold promise to address critical challenges and close capability gaps. This position will start in Vienna and transition to Springfield in the early summer timeframe.
The selected individual will be responsible for supporting customer Project Officers in developing diverse, leading-edge products for application against a diverse array of requirements. The candidate selected will provide technical and programmatic expertise to include analysis of requirements, creation of technology roadmaps, and execution of effective development and transition activities for a broad array of technologies. The candidate will support multiple developments from a technology portfolio supporting the customer’s strategic roadmap and vision. The Technology Project Management Specialist will work as part of a team of systems engineers and Project Officers. The candidate should have solid experience in the areas of technical management, briefing and document preparation for senior-level audiences, test planning and execution, and transition support.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Support Project Officers in all aspects of planning, coordinating, documenting, and executing technology developments and transition to systems development/acquisition
Support preparation and execution of Industry Days on behalf of the customer; support activities to characterize state-of-the-art performance capabilities of various technologies
Coordinate, support, and participate in testing and track status of performance criteria
Manage project deliverables and report status; manage project reviews and track action items
Travel (10-20%) outside assigned work area
Qualifications
Current/Active TS/SCI: CI Polygraph eligible
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical field
Demonstrated experience (minimum of 10 years) utilizing systems engineering and project management principles
Exceptional oral, verbal, written communication and briefing skills
Demonstrated ability to work productively in a fast-paced, team setting and to effectively manage competing priorities
Possess diplomatic, tactful, and strong interpersonal and professional skills to work effectively in politically sensitive environments
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
