Job Description Summary
Provide project management support required for the implementation of office relocation changes in the areas of space requirements, systems furniture, case goods, equipment, electrical requirements and storage areas. Manage contractors that provide move services, furniture reconfigurations, security, and IT.
Job Description
Coordinate and implement project relocation plans and schedules. Coordinate with end user and resource departments such as Facilities, IT, Security, Mail Services, Human Resources, etc
o Lead all coordination efforts for MACs. This includes developing move instructions, welcome packets and facilitating move meetings with the occupants affected
o Coordinate and schedule project meetings to provide timely end user communications
o Coordinate and analyze proposals and bids from approved vendors
o Ensure MAC execution and completion adheres to approved scope, schedule, budget and documentation
o Update aperture system related to the movement of employees identified.
o Issue orders for approved projects to contractors, supervise furniture and related equipment moves, receive and verify invoices for payment
o Verify new furniture deliveries for MACs; work with client to ensure that appropriate documentation is forwarded to their purchasing and fixed asset system
o Conduct post completion project reviews and administer customer satisfaction surveys in compliance with established contractual performance indicators
o Interface with Space Planners and end user to gather requirements
o Assist client as needed with design and planning activities
o Report on project status to client and end user departments
o Coordinate project space / moves plans and information with contractors
o Assist and maintain move plans, furniture and move documents
o Ensure compliance with approved standards and authority levels.
o College Degree in Design or related field preferred
o Three years designing and project supervision experience in a commercial/ office environment. Experience working with professional movers, project management and construction process
o Strong working knowledge of project management techniques necessary to expedite efficient office moves and related activities
o Strong technical skills in systems furniture installation and specification
o Ability to analyze and translate client requirements into directives for contractors
o Possess technical judgment and discretion; critical in keeping projects on schedule in after-hour situations
o Ability to analyze and identify the monetary and logistical ramifications of space changes
o Strong knowledge of integrating design plans with field conditions, identifying pre-move requirements
o Continuous communication with every level of management and staff and this position directs professional consultants and contractors
o AutoCAD, Microsoft Project Manager, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, CAFM
