Mobile Position within the Boston area supporting stationary engineers. Responsibilities include the proper operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment. This includes but is not limited to: chillers, cooling towers, fans, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, ancillary support equipment, water treatment, controls and BMS/EMS.


Other duties may be assigned. Management also reserves the right to change or modify this position description from time to time to meet the needs of the site and/or building(s)

Perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment and systems.
Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
Respond to all trouble calls and troubleshoot the systems to meet the critical specifications of all Data Centers, Laboratory and Critical Environments as well as operational and comfort needs of the building(s) occupants, where applicable.
Be proficient in the functionality of the BMS/EMS and understand the sequences required for proper building, equipment and system operations.
Work with engineers, contractors and consultants in evaluating the proper operation of the building systems.
Maintain a professional, safe and clean environment.
Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E and Life Safety codes and regulations
Troubleshoot building equipment and controls to determine problems and perform necessary repairs.
Maintain equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance program.
Perform other related duties as assigned, assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs.
Adhere to established work order preventive maintenance schedule.
Completes work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
Maintain all operational SOPs for site specific equipment and systems.
REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):

Valid Driverâ??s License with a good record.
Massachusetts Refrigeration License
CFC certification for the type of equipment serviced (Universal Certification preferred)
Graduate of a technical or trade school
Minimum of five years field experience (Service Van)
Experience troubleshooting and repairing Liebert Units
Education or training in HVAC controls Pneumatic and DDC

Ability to lift 25lbs frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally
Climb and work off of ladders and aerial lifts safely
Observant which requires seeing, hearing, and smelling
