LEAD SPECIALIST, PROJECT CONTROLS
Position is accountable for the performance of the project controls discipline or sub-group within project controls. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members. Participates in the development of functional strategy and procedures estimating, project risk control, cost control, and scheduling.
·* *Drive effective execution of project control functions on various capital projects.
·* *Evaluate project health and maintain effective communications with project leadership on project status.
·* *Ensure that project controls systems and processes are implemented and continue to deliver accurate project status.
·* *Evaluate project contracts and commercial terms to ensure that the project controls processes are aligned to address any specific needs.
·* *Interdisciplinary communications with engineering, construction and procurement to coordinate project activities and inputs.
·* *Review and audit cost, progress and schedule reports that are prepared about project controls.
·* *Perform project cost forecasting and controls, schedule updates and reporting on projects
·* *Bachelor’s degree, preferred within Engineering, Economics, Construction Management or Industrial Engineering
·* *Preferred MBA
·* *Preferred active PMP and/or AACE Certification or the interest/ability to achieve these certifications
·* *10 years of EPC Project controls in energy and chemicals industry
·* *Proficient in P6 and scheduling techniques, risk assessments, budget development, cost analysis, forecasting and variance reporting techniques
·* *Advanced skills with Microsoft Office
·* *Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function within a project team
·* *Must be able to self-lead and communicate to all levels of project team, including management and clients
