The Candidate will work on mechanical engineering tasks for a variety of system integration and mechanical design projects. Tasking includes but not limited to: research, specification, and document engineering drawings, plans, and other related documents and materials.
The individual will be called on to support program deliverables, evaluations, system assessments, and assist with level of effort (LOE)/ Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates.
Will perform modeling of components and assemblies as part of design, testing, and prototype fabrication.
Assist with development of static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages.
Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design and documentation.
Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
Potential to conduct design testing and prototype fabrication.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0-3 years’ experience.
Design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment, and packages.
Proficient with SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, and CREO required.
Experience with Microsoft-based applications such as Word, Excel, Project, and Access, using Windows operating systems.
Engineer must be able to perform checking of Military Standard drawings for correctness per MIL-STD-31000A and ASME Y14.100 standards.
Engineer must be able to capture design requirements from multiple sources.
Candidates should have an understanding of metals and painting requirements for different metals.
Organization and attention to detail are a must.
Must be an US citizen and ability to obtain interim Secret security clearance.
Candidates with Secret Security Clearance Level already obtained is preferable.
Prior military and/or Radar experience a plus.
Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
Experience in Finite Element Analysis preferred.
A focus on the understanding of Robust Design and Quality Engineering is highly desired.
