Job Description: This Position reports to the Program Manager and interfaces with Prime Contractor and US Government Customer personnel, coordinating the Electronic Systems Integrator actions to support detail design and construction with the design shipyard team. This position will reside at the design shipbuilder’s facility and will perform as the primary point of contact for all design and production activities.
This position is contingent on Contract Award.
Is responsible for planning and scheduling of Raytheon project tasks, milestones and deliverables with the production shipyard, and partners/vendors.
Manages updates and maintains status of the Raytheon responsible elements of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Manages the production activities to ensure material test readiness and completion of grooming, activation and testing of systems and subsystems to meet program milestones.
Acts as the Raytheon liaison for shipyard production and planning personnel.
Identifies conflicts and issues to allow opportunities to resolve or avoid impacts
Identifies potential risks and develops contingencies for risk mitigation
Works with engineering and production personnel to provide solutions in support of operational and schedule goals.
Ensures that the shipyard installation and modifications meet requirements of Installation Control Documents (ICDs), and supporting technical documentation.
Is responsible for oversight of system installation and readiness for test.
Tracks and reports project progress and status and reports at the appropriate daily production and planning meetings.
Identifies scope change and impacts to support PM change management and scope negotiation.
Supports development and maintenance of project plans.
Supports test and trials planning and management.
Ten (10)+ years overall engineering experience of which 5 years should have been in a team lead, project lead, or similar role.
Five (5) years overall experience working in shipyard production or refit/repair environment
Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain interim within 90 days from date of hire.
Excellent interpersonal capabilities including oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge with business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies.
Experience with shipboard electronics services, space arrangement and integration requirements.
Experience with complex shipboard engineering and combat control systems
BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related engineering disciplines. 8 years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a BA/BS
