This position is a member of the Training and Logistics Services (T&LS) organization within Raytheon’s Engineering Function. Candidate will utilize Logistics Engineering expertise and knowledge with respect to product support design interface, supportability engineering, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) methods, standards, and techniques to provide clarification of system requirements to software and hardware development teams and test personnel. Candidate will identify logistics engineering impacts to ensure supportability considerations are appropriately allocated to the system and horizontally integrated across the development and sustainment teams. Candidate will interface across multiple engineering disciplines with other systems engineering functions to ensure integration and continuity in the design, development, and sustainment processes. Candidate may develop logistics design guidelines, plans, procedures, work instructions, tools, checklists, etc. to ensure conformance to logistics standards. Candidate will support systems engineering activities including operational concepts, trade studies, use case development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. Candidate will identify design improvements by performing supportability analyses such as maintainability analysis, operator/maintainer task analysis, spares and repair parts analysis, life cycle cost analysis, level and source of repair analysis, maintainability analysis, manpower/personnel analysis, obsolescence planning, performance measure trade studies, and supply support analysis, etc. Candidate will represent supportability and logistics engineering interests by participating in and attending technical interchange meetings and review boards with the team members and other program personnel. Candidate will review documents and resolve technical systems engineering and integration issues related to logistics and supportability. Candidate will support engineering changes and proposal efforts as required. Position requires frequent interface with high level customer sponsors, Government representatives, and other internal Program organizations in separate geographical locations. Candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines. Candidate will identify, schedule, and report status on discrete logistics tasks within an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
AMS Product Supportability Engineer Position Description:
[ALTERNATE 1] This position is the primary logistics engineering subject matter expert to provide oversight, guidance, and direction specific to operations, maintenance, support, and sustainment. This position reports to the Program’s Integrated Logistics Engineering lead and is responsible for implementing and executing the Integrated Support Plan (ISP) and related product support elements. This position is primarily responsible for collaborating with the customer and user community to develop training requirements and materials, logistics procedures, operations and support manuals, and providing user instruction and operator certification training.
[ALTERNATE 2] This position is an individual contributor who will execute product supportability engineering activities and lead the development of operations and support products including training and manuals. This role will lead a small team of product supportability specialists who perform training systems requirements analyses, develop training curriculum and materials, develop user manuals (technical, maintenance, software, etc.), and provide certification training.
