Job Description

Raytheon IDS (Integrated Defense Systems) Operations has an outstanding opportunity for a manufacturing professional to grow your expertise at the program level. Provide support to the MSS Production programs. Come grow your skills in operations management, technical operations, business communications, and leadership. You will be responsible for coordinating with the Manufacturing Work Centers, Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other Cross Business Teams (CBT) to ensure successful on time integration of the material and labor efforts necessary to support manufacturing and contract schedules.
You will be responsible for all phases of Operations Management by working within an Integrated Product Team/Cross Business Team (IPT/CBT) environment to ensure effective execution of MSS Production programs. Responsibilities of this role include coordinating the program schedules with the CBT’s, daily interaction with the Manufacturing Work Centers and other CBT’s in IDS to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. Other focus areas of this position include cost, quality, delivery, safety, and identification/implementation of continuous improvement opportunities that are critical performance criteria for success.
This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or Salary Grade G10 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skill, experience and responsibility requirement for the position

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of operations experience working in an Integrated Product Team/Cross Business Team (IPT/CBT) environment or equivalent (or 4 years with a Master's Degree)
  • Related management experience
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of MRP and Shop Floor Management Tools (PRISM, VM)
  • Experience working in a Matrix Organization with multiple customers
  • Knowledge of aerospace /defense systems technology domains and manufacturing
  • Proven experience in developing manufacturing strategies and proposals
  • Proven ability to prepare and present reports and briefings
  • Excellent verbal / written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing, supporting and maintaining strong relationships w/respective program IBT lead/team as well as end using customer
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated results focus and ability to execute
  • Communication skills: Negotiation, collaboration, creativity, presentation and communication (written and verbal), responsiveness, being open-minded, team player, facilitation
  • Proven EVMS (Earned Value Management System) experience
  • Experience with transition of programs from design to manufacturing
Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred fields but not limited to: Engineering; Operations Management; Business Management, Finance) or equivalent education and experience
