The Role

Our Government Services division is seeking an experienced Communications Engineer to work as part of a team implementing a key ADF sustainment program within KBR’s Major Service Provider Program (MSP) for the Department of Defence.

The role will provide support to the sustainment of a wide array of communications equipment within the program. To be successful in this role, you must have Communication Engineering experience in a CASG or Department of Defence projects or programs, preferably in the sustainment field.

Responsibilities

Lead and/or participate in engineering related system reviews, progress reviews and interface control working groups

Lead and/or participate in working groups related to Materiel System and Support System components subject to system analysis, design, development and implementation

Review engineering deliverables delivered typically under a sustainment contract

Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to customer personnel

Requirements

10-15 years’ experience in Communications Engineering

Bachelor of Engineering in Communications and/or System Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification

Engineering experience within an Australian Defence environment – desirable

Working knowledge of the Department of Defence Capability Life Cycle – desirable

Highly developed organisational and analytical skills.

Demonstrated abilities to develop positive working relationships through high level communication skills

Mandatory Requirement

Australian Citizenship with current or previous AGSVA Security Clearance at NV1 or higher. Applicants with Baseline clearance will also be considered.
