Description:This is a position within the Delivery Management team for the E2 program. This position supports Echelon 2 maintenance for an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program by providing schedule support for Ground Element software, hardware, and other software elements in a complex multi-dependency environment.
The Delivery Coordinator will design, develop, and analyze baseline release schedules containing software, hardware, and COTS to produce schedules that manage timelines and distinct team requirements using past history as a starting footprint that is tuned with process improvements. This role should understand and quantify the dependencies and stakeholder needs within the ~12 month long delivery lifecycle and be able to support the needs of numerous groups that are both internal and external to the Ground Element.
The Delivery Coordinator also supports a collaborative environment where schedule concerns are discussed and adjustments may be made if necessary. Due to the varied groups which utilize the Ground Element schedules, it is expected that the coordinator will prepare, and brief, various groups as to current schedule status and on on-going changes.
This function requires providing quick what-if scenarios in support of dynamically changing schedules. Also, creation of tools to support dynamic changes while still maintaining dependency constructs is expected and will be utilized to identify bottlenecks/slack or by upper management for planning purposes.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to a variety of audiences
-Effective problem solving skills
-Strong attention to detail
-Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project or similar tools (e.g. FastTrack)
-E2/Ground Element program experience or several years' experience on a large software program
-Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall software lifecycles
-Experience with complex program planning environments where a multitude of resources are all contributing to the final product
-System Engineering background for thorough understanding of interdependencies and entry/exit criteria for various stakeholders and priorities
-Scripting experience for tool support (e.g. Perl or similar)
