Job Description:
Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an entry-level Systems Engineer II position for recent college graduates to join and expand our Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position will work to develop solutions to solve customer needs by providing customized engineering services and products for unique customer missions.

Responsibilities include:
Provide basic support in the development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts, requirements (system, element, segment, or subsystem level), external and internal interfaces, and other systems engineering work products/artifacts. Candidates will be responsible for:
  • Integrating software and hardware subsystems;
  • Applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to solve problems;
  • Contributing to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads;
  • Following established SE processes and procedures
Required Skills:
  • Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories and concepts
  • Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
  • Ability to work in a multi discipline team environment
  • Ability to articulate status and results
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills
Security Clearance - This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills/Attributes:
  • Exposure to requirements development, derivation and management
  • Exposure to integration of software and hardware subsystems
  • Exposure to security engineering concepts and practices and the software development life cycle
  • Exposure to Aerospace platforms / systems
  • Ability to research and distill data into meaningful information
  • Experience using MS Office Suite of tools
  • Previous internship, or entry-level defense industry experience
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
Required Education:
  • A BS Degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Aeronautical, Mechanical), Physics, Math or a related STEM field, obtained in the last 24 months. A GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired. If less than 2 yrs. Professional work experience, please include your GPA on your resume and a copy of your current university transcript.
Security Clearance - This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
