DLA requires support for assessing and implementing its supply chain strategic initiatives and evaluating, improving and sustaining current programs, particularly with management of wholesale and retail inventories supporting the industrial base and warfighters.
DLA requires technical expertise, particularly with an understanding of the techniques used in government systems and process such as the Distribution Standard System (DSS), Inventory Management & Stock Positioning (IMSP), Economic Movement Quantity (EMQ), and Inventory Policy Optimization (IPO) to assist with the integration of supply chains, distribution, and the military servicesÃ??Ã?Â¢?? inventory management requirements.
This work includes conducting quantitative analysis and providing strategic recommendations to the government to improve operations and effectiveness throughout the supply chain and integration with retail and military service industrial sites.
Our analysis will employ the capabilities of various inventory management programs (DSS, IMSP, EMQ, etc.) to support integrated solutions for inventory management that are managerially and technically sound and adequately resourced to provide desired levels of readiness to support the warfighter.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-20 years of executive-level management experience, such as experience directing the technical and administrative work of employees, establishing program/project milestones and monitoring adherence to set schedules, and leading program review sessions with senior leadership.
-Knowledge of DoD organization and structure, or experience working at the OSD or senior flag officer level at the Services.
-Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, briefings, and meeting moderation; and, willingness/desire to work across a broad range of technical and intelligence areas is required.
-Minimum Education: Masters degree in a logistics related field.
-Active Secret Clearance.
PRIMARY WORK LOCATION AND HOURS OF OPERATION
Work will be performed on-site at HQ, DLA Headquarters, 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Fort Belvoir, VA, and 5001 South Avenue, Bldg. 54, Bay 2, New Cumberland, PA. In the event of a local or national emergency, operations may be moved to another government facility or telework may be authorized up to 50% of the time.
Travel to other government facilities or other contractor facilities may be required.
