Utilize CND/A&A tools including, but not limited to, McAfee Host Based Security System (and other required components), Splunk, ACAS Security Center, and Fidelis to monitor and maintain the security posture within the AO and the Enterprise.
Follow Enterprise approved policies and procedures, when available, in support of the OIR customer. Where policies and procedures may not be available, draft such documents to be submitted for consideration.
Work with other functional areas to ensure workstations, servers, and network devices are properly patched & upgraded to meet DISA security guidelines & requirements.
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
Plans and directs upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
Develops documentation on new or existing systems.
Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities.
Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
Professional certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.
5+ years of experience.
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain IAT II and job specific specialization certification(s).
Ability to work within a matrix organization geographically dispersed around the world.
Provide support, as required, to other functional areas including, but not limited to, Networks, Systems, Desktop Support, Logistics, & Configuration Management.
Experience operating in deployed environments preferred. Selected candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Middle East. Travel may be via commercial or military transport. Modes of transport include, but are not limited to; car, truck, armored vehicle, fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide. Candidate will be expected to live alongside deployed military personnel in military provided accommodation. Housing options include, but are not limited to; open bay tents and multi-personnel containerized housing units “CHUs”.
Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements (medical, dental, and psychological) and be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary.
The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
