Operations And Test Support Engineer
Colorado Springs, CO

Position Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating high-visibility projects affecting operations and test events across the entire Ballistic Missile Defense System.
  • The Operations and Test Engineer manages system configuration for operations and all test events through the development of system configuration documents (Run sheet), establishes, and disseminates baseline guidance for the daily Real World Operations (RWO) of the global C2BMC enterprise.
  • Directly support the execution of all BMDS flight and ground tests involving C2BMC by overseeing configuration management, mission management and directing execution, and supporting real-time data analysis.
  • Provide an alternate C2BMC Asset Manager, coordinating and scheduling flight, ground, systems and operability tests in addition to all regular maintenance and upgrade activities.
  • Interacting and coordinating with outside agencies on C2BMC matters and attending briefings and conferences on behalf of C2BMC Operations.
  • Able to develop and publish technical Operating Instructions for C2BMC, coordinates, and oversees the accuracy, scheduling, and release of all C2BMC Tasking Orders (CTO), across the enterprise.
  • Remain intimately involved with capabilities and features of future C2BMC software spiral releases and provide input system/process improvements and be able to train and mentor crew personnel.
  • Flexible in regards to OCONUS travel in support of site standup, Ground/Flight tests and other activities that are considered high-visibility to C2BMC NT and its customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience. Candidate must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification (Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
Technical Skill Required:
  • Strong leadership, presentation and speaking skills.
  • Experience in project management, planning and resource management.
  • Experience with leading personnel in operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environment.
  • Effective communications; ability to brief technical system and network issues and overall system reports to program management and customer leadership.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to effectively administer, operate and manage services under C2BMC operational control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, presentation and speaking skills.

Other:
  • Position is normally Mon - Fri: may require on-call, evening and weekend support during system anomalies and or tests.
  • Desired Skills: Experience in liaising with other DoD Agencies and associated Ballistic Missile Defense Systems operations/organizations.
  • Experience with UNIX and /or Microsoft operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Missile Defense Agency along with BMDS Knowledge of Integrated Scheduling Tool (IST)Experience in liaising with other DoD Agencies and associated network operations organizations
