AFLCMC/EZAS Electrical Engineer

Provide engineering support and assistance to the Aircraft Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR), Security Control Assessor (SCA), and Security Control Assessor Representatives (SCARs) to execute the Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework for aircraft and aircraft systems. AFLCMC/EZAS requires specialized electrical engineering support, with key expertise in communications/navigation, avionics integration, and software development/integration competencies to support cybersecurity approvals for aircraft platforms. This position is a product-based effort to address key modifications & technical issues associated with electrical/software engineering.

Tasks Include:

  • Review, maintain, and update AFLCMC/EZAS documents including:cybersecurity templates, the AFLCMC Standard Process for Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization, AO/AODR Memos, and Security Control Overlay.
  • Be the Government Secretariat for the Cybersecurity Industry Technical Advisory Group (CITAG)
  • Review, provide, and consolidate comments on cybersecurity and system security engineering documents including Instructions, Guidebooks, and Processes
  • Submit meeting/conference papers/briefings by the SCA and SCARs to Public Affairs for review and clearance
  • Assist with maintenance and operation of the Cybersecurity Avionics Data Bus Lab




  • A Bachelor's degree (Engineering) and 8-10 years of Electrical Engineering experience is required.
  • An active SECRET clearance is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • An understanding of Air Force platforms and weapons systems; expertise in communication/navigation, avionics integration, and software development integration.


  • Experience working in AFLCMC (or predecessor organization) program offices
  • APDP Certification (SPRDE)
  • Cybersecurity Certifications, such as Security
