Job Title - Senior Information Technology Analyst
Systems/Network Architecture Engineer
Supporting the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade, Fort Gordon, GA
Designs, implements and manages satellite communications transport architectures to support global intelligence missions. Familiarity in commercial satellite technologies, leveraging DISA’s SATCOM Enterprise and participating in staff planning for routine and contingency operations is a significant part of the daily duties and scope. The candidate will have experience at managing current and emerging satellite communications and security technologies like Low and Medium Earth Orbit systems, optical transport and Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC).
Successful candidates will have a strong background in requirements analysis, system engineering principles and system integrations experience, especially in intelligence systems. Candidate must possess highly effective communication skills to participate actively in design, development and sustainment teams working with internal and external stakeholders. System Engineers transform needs and requirements into a set of system product and process descriptions (adding value and more detail with each level of development).
Candidate will supervise and manage the operation and internetworking of telecommunications networks, mission systems equipment, and transport systems and associated personnel at both the local area and wide area network level. They plan, integrate, operate, optimize and troubleshoot communications networks and networked-systems connectivity and capacity in order to transmit information as an element of combat power. They supervise and oversee system security planning and the implementation and use of electronic keys and spectrum management to support terrestrial and satellite communications networks and networked-systems. They develop policy recommendations and provide technical guidance and advice to commanders and staffs on the management and operation of Army intelligence systems
10-15 years of related systems engineering experience.
10-15 years of Military Intelligence background
Skills and Tasks - Exceptionally Complex, Inter-Discipline, Inter-Organizational. Can perform tasks of senior level technicians, specialists, and or managers not performed at Level 3 due to the size and/or complexity of the tasks.
Leadership/Management - May work individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team. Oversees and monitors performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
Guidance - Provides expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers. Directs multiple contractor and subcontractor teams through to project completion.
Training and Certifications - DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order. Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order. Willing to obtain additional industry certifications as required.
Capabilities and additional Requirements - Design and implement computer and information networks and other data communications networks as it applies to ISR mission requirements. Advise military leaders on best course of actions to meet mission requirements. May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. ?Engineer/manage the transport of voice; video and data networks establishing and maintaining the transport layer environment of Army's portion of the Cyberspace domain?.
