SAIC is hiring C# / .NET Developer Software Developers for our GCSS - Army program in Huntsville, AL.
The Global Combat Support System-Army will ultimately replace several aging and outdated Army management information systems across tactical logistics environments within the Army’s Active and Reserve components as well as the National Guard. As part of this effort, a new SOA-based suite of middleware software and services is being created to integrate the GCSS-Army SAP system to the Aircraft Notebook (ACN).SAIC is seeking experienced software development professionals to create these new capabilities for the US Army.
The candidate for this position will provide software engineering support to the U.S. Army.
The candidate will be working as part of a fast-paced agile software development team that is designing and developing software applications according to existing coding standards and guidelines.
Candidate will interpret and analyze requirements obtained/derived from customer; review, verify and/or validate system specifications and other design-related documentation.
Candidate will be working with multiple contractors and must be self-motivated, reliable, dependable, flexible, and have excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Proficient in C# / .NET framework
Experience with ASP.NET MVC pattern
Experience with WCF web services and protocols (SOAP, REST, Web API)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework
Experience working in n-tier architecture environments
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Skill in writing reusable libraries
Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
Skilled in problem solving and debugging
Desired experience with Windows Presentation Framework (WPF / XAML)
