Job Description:
Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Supply Chain Logistics team is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to serve as a Packaging Engineering Assistant responsible for shipping of government owned assets in accordance with Defense Contract Management Agency Transportation rules and regulations. The candidate selected will perform a wide array of duties from Customer Service, collaborating with peers and internal customers, SAP processes, Contract reviews, creating Packaging Instructions, Problem Solving and verifying accuracy of documentation for outbound shipments upon receipt into the Pack & Ship process.

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Customer Service attendant
  • Working with Pack Ship customers to verify incoming documentation and hardware
  • SAP (APEX & PRISM) processes
  • Crossover functions
  • PRISM and outbound shipment troubleshooting for Texas Logistics
  • Raytheon Packaging Engineering Assistant
  • Reviewing and monitoring packaging requirements from ICMS and WAWF Raytheon Contracts.
  • Review and provide Packaging Instructions per contractual requirements with the use of Mil-Std-2073, ASTM D3951 and Mil-Std-129.
  • IATA and 49 CFR Hazmat Certification with packaging and shipping knowledge
  • Review and provide packaging instructions and follow classified requirements.
  • Adhere to operating policies and procedures, and be able to contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills:
  • Experience with technical issues associated with logistics or operation requirements
  • Ability to effectively drive positive change in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
  • High data entry speed and accuracy

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with designing packaging instructions
  • Experience with processing classified and hazardous shipments
  • Ability to maintain process changes, comprehensive business case and presentation associated with any appropriate process improvement
  • Experience working within a diverse team environment
  • Possess a solid reputation for safety, professionalism, and ethical responsibility

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
