GDIT is currently seeking a Contracts Manager in join our team. In this role you will manage the negotiation and administration of assigned contracts, ensuring contractual compliance with relevant terms and conditions.

Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Negotiates contracts, including price, terms and conditions, and reviews contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to execution.
  • Ensures program compliance with relevant contractual terms and conditions and compliance with designated management objectives.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to assigned contracts administrators, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Serves as point of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems.
  • Reviews requests for proposals and prepares proposals.
  • Formulates and negotiates contract proposal modifications (e.g., REAs, Change Proposals).
  • Reviews and negotiates teaming agreements.
  • Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations.
  • Makes recommendations regarding contracts implementation.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of related experience in contracts administration. 5-8 years preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contracts administration.
  • ACTIVE TS/SCI required
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPCM/CFCM) preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, applicable Agency Supplements, and CAS.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Effective management skills.
  • Strategic thinker and trusted advisor to Business Area or leadership
  • Fosters and maintains customer intimacy in Business Area
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams to resolve issues.
  • Ability to mentor and develop and lead training for others

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related business discipline or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
