Description

Operate video teleconferencing equipment including powering up the teleconferencing equipment, checking equipment for proper operation, setting audio levels, positioning camera functions, performing secure or non-secure setup; operate or assist in operating session control panel, studio control unit, and high-resolution graphics. Job tasks require this technician to provide assistance to users in conducting video teleconference sessions, which may include conference preparation, and monitor VTC equipment and system performance, reporting equipment and network problems to appropriate service line for maintenance or repair. Installs, tests, troubleshoots, programs, maintains, and repairs, attendant consoles, miscellaneous telephone, and computer data circuits and related apparatus. Analyzes system failures and other unusual system occurrences to isolate the source of the problem and determine whether the failure is caused by software, hardware, or other factors. Other shared duties involve J911 and Lenel equipment support for Protective Services with installation of electronic door locking hardware, installation and maintenance of the security components on gates, and pedestrian turnstiles.  In addition, technician would assist existing personnel with video surveillance equipment including internal and external cameras and digital video recorders across the MAF site.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Degree with 5yrs. Of Experience.

Desired:

  • AA Degree with 1 yr. of Experience. Some database skills and computer skills.
  • Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment (including Microsoft Office, Office365 And Database’s)
  • Prior experience with video surveillance equipment including internal and external cameras and digital video recorders
  • Internet Protocol networking experience
  • Prior government premises work experience.
